Kanellos & Associates (Kanellos Legal) is a boutique law office headquartered in Athens.

Over three decades, we’ve built a practice focused on the legal needs of foreign businesses and individuals operating in Greece – from corporate formation and M&A to real estate investment, immigration, and regulatory compliance. Our clients include multinational corporations with Greek operations, foreign investors entering the market, and individuals navigating residency, property, and succession matters.

We work across the sectors where foreign clients most often need Greek legal counsel: technology and telecommunications, banking and financial services, real estate and construction, energy, and pharmaceuticals. Our experience in these sectors means we understand not just the legal framework but the commercial and regulatory realities that shape decisions on the ground.

We are deliberately small. You work directly with lawyers who know your matter, your business, and your objectives. This is a conscious choice – we believe the quality of legal advice depends on the experience and engagement of the lawyers delivering it, and we structure our practice accordingly.

Three decades of practice in Greece gives us perspective that can’t be acquired quickly. We’ve advised clients through Greece’s Eurozone integration, the financial crisis and capital controls, successive regulatory reforms, and the country’s re-emergence as an investment destination. That institutional memory shapes how we assess risk, structure transactions, and anticipate how Greek institutions – courts, regulators, tax authorities, land registries – actually function in practice.
